Following the AQA A syllabus, A Level geography is split into Human Geography, Physical Geography & Skills
AS Units include:
Water on the Land, Climatic Hazards & Changes, Energy & Life
Population, Settlement, Economic Activity
Assessment is in the form of 3 exams in the summer months, 3 papers – each 1 hour in length but all at the same time (eg Am exam 0900-1200)
A2 Units include:
Geomorphological hazards, Coasts, Cold Environments & Human Activity
Population Pressure 7 Resource Management, Managing cities Challenges & Issues, Recreation & Tourism
Assessment is in the form of examinations & coursework
Fieldwork:
Fieldwork at A Level comprises of trips to local destinations to explore coastal features and erosion, and also a residential trip to Norfolk in the summer term.
