Term 1 UNIT 7A; THE SENSES

About the unit.

In this unit, pupils will explore their own senses as the starting point for 2D and 3D outcomes.

They develop the skills relating to the handling of 2D and 3D techniques and processes.

Pupils will learn about how artists convey sensory ideas and transform meanings using traditional media and multimedia processes.

Term 2 UNIT 7B; ORGANIC AND MADE FORMS.

About the unit.

In this unit, pupils are introduced to primary, secondary and tertiary colour mixing. They look at the work of artists and learn how to represent first hand and collected observations within nature and made objects using colour and pictorial composition.

Term 3 UNIT 7C; JOURNEYS

About the unit.

Pupils will have opportunities to produce 2D and 3D outcomes in response to the environment. They will look and learn about how artists across time, place and culture have represents ideas about journeys and how codes, conventions, and symbols imbue meaning.
